After getting up and baking yesterday for Thanksgiving, I was glad to sleep in this morning! I was in charge of desserts at my family's Thanksgiving Celebration yesterday! I LOVE to bake, more than I love to cook an actual meal. Of course I made the Traditional Pumpkin Pie. I made that with my niece when I babysat her on Tuesday! Oh she had a great time helping me bake. Like most toddlers, they want to help. She is 3yrs old and loves to help me do anything! She was very eager to pour things into the mixing bowl and stir for me! Love spending time with my niece! I told the family that Rylee made the pie, but they all knew who would have done what without saying, but it made my niece feel great them thinking she made the pie all by herself. Also, with most toddlers, they think they are more independent than they really are. Anyhow, I also made an Autumn Cheesecake. Basically it's an apple pie, on top of a cheesecake. That was REALLY good. However, the only thing that was a problem with that, was the crust. Next time I make it, I'll be using a regular crust recipe and not the crust recipe that came with the recipe. It was WAY to thick and hard to eat! You can go to Allrecipes.com and type in Autumn Cheesecake. Or my cooking page on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/differentgoodeats for the recipe! I love sharing with everyone recipes I find and try out. It's a great feeling to be asked for a recipe! I made these respberry thumbprint shortbread cookies for a family gathering back in the Spring. Oh they were delicious! One of my Aunts, she makes cookies for weddings. She asked for the recipe to use for a wedding! That made my day! Thankfully, it was a recipe that I just made that morning and it was so simple I was able write down the recipe for her on the spot. I double checked when I got home and I was right!
